Engineer says FY16 DAP over 50% paid; TwinBridge nearing completion; parking area slated for October

Maria Rangel, capital improvement project engineer, updated the board on three active capital projects and timelines.
On the FY16 DAP project Rangel said the authority has paid out more than 52% of the contract amount and that contract time is at roughly 89% consumed; she described work on a cold-storage facility and said the contractor must replace some pavement at its own expense. Rangel told the board the contractor’s latest schedule shows a Jan. 14 completion date.
Rangel said TwinBridge has about 90% of its contract amount paid and that the project is slated to be completed by the end of July; she identified remaining tasks such as the roadway between the toll booth and the bridge structure and final electrical work to connect dynamic message signs.
On the commercial vehicle parking area project, Rangel said roughly 30% of the contract has been paid while time used on the contract is at about 90%. The latest schedule she cited shows an October completion target. She invited board members to contact the department with questions and said staff would provide follow-up details as needed.
The board had no further questions during the presentation.
