Eunice council unanimously approves electrical services contract and temporary RV permit

The Eunice City Commission on May 11 unanimously approved contracting with K & B Power, LLC for electrical services and granted a special-use permit for a temporary 5th-wheel RV at 1415 Ave J.
City Manager Shannon Cummins told the council the RFP produced one respondent, K & B Power, and that the proposal received a high evaluation score and was judged responsive and capable. Councilor Erica Jones moved, with Councilor Steve Almager seconding, to approve entering the contract; a roll call was recorded with all members voting yes.
Later the council approved a special use permit allowing one RV (a 5th wheel) to park at 1415 Ave J for approximately two to three weeks once or twice per year, with the applicant required to keep the unit orderly. That motion, moved by Councilor Steve Almager and seconded by Councilor Curtis Rouse, passed by unanimous roll call.
On the consent agenda the council also approved the minutes of the April 27, 2026 regular meeting.
