Lisbon reports progress on Route 12 sidewalks, Urban Action Grant plans and Mell Road paving

First Selectman Thomas W. Sparkman told the Board of Selectmen that LOTCIP materials for Route 12 sidewalks and full plans for the Urban Action Grant at 1 South Burnham Highway have been submitted to CT DOT for review; Mell Road paving is scheduled to start this week from Ames Road to Barber Farm Road.
First Selectman Thomas W. Sparkman updated the Board of Selectmen on several town infrastructure and maintenance items at the July 13 meeting.
Sparkman said the municipal quarterly narrative report for the LOTCIP-funded Route 12 sidewalk project was submitted to CT DOT (via SECCoG) and materials are available for review. He also reported that plans and full specifications for the Urban Action Grant project at 1 South Burnham Highway have been submitted to CT DOT and are under agency review.
On local maintenance, Sparkman told the board that an issue with the Commission on Aging kitchen floor and dishwasher has been resolved but that the town is still awaiting quotes to replace or repair the facility HVAC system. He also said paving work on Mell Road is scheduled to begin this week, covering the stretch from the Ames Road intersection to Barber Farm Road.
No formal actions were taken on these items during the meeting; they were reported for the record and for staff follow-up with CT DOT and vendors to obtain HVAC estimates.
