The Pittsburgh Public Schools agenda review on July 15 moved to the business section, where Mr. Joseph announced that agenda item 10.02 was being pulled from the agenda.
When asked whether the item will return, Dr. McNeil said, "It will not come back," then added, "We're considering some additional options," indicating the district removed the item from the current agenda while future disposition remains undecided.
Separately, the board discussed item 11.05, described in the materials as environmental insurance. Mr. Joseph told the board the policy is a renewal of a larger environmental-insurance policy the district has held in the past. "It's a policy we've had in the past, and we're just renewing it," he said. When asked if the district had filed any claims under the policy, Mr. Joseph replied, "To my knowledge, no."
No formal votes were recorded during the agenda review on either the pulled item or the insurance renewal; the items were handled as part of the board’s routine agenda review. The meeting ended with reminders about a virtual public hearing on Monday and a legislative meeting the following Wednesday.
