Assistant City Administrator Kendall Adams summarized a staff analysis that included an on‑site review, previous accident data and a stealth stat survey conducted by the Forest Acres Police Department showing some speeding. Adams said S.C. Department of Transportation recommended installing a three‑way stop at Willingham and Parrish as a first step and indicated the signs could be installed by early to mid‑July.
Resident Nic Touchstone used the community‑forum portion of the meeting to thank council for approving the stop‑sign measure. The council’s approval of both the funding and the traffic‑calming step were recorded by motion as unanimous votes.
