The Eunice City Council approved Resolution No. 3537 on March 23 authorizing the City Manager to declare certain items as surplus or salvage and sell them through an online auction platform (GovDeals), with proceeds to be returned to the appropriate city funds.
Manager Shannon Cummins said the online auction process provides a transparent and competitive way to dispose of unneeded items and directed proceeds to city funds. Councilor Steve Almager moved to approve the resolution, Councilor Erica Jones seconded, and the motion carried on a roll-call vote.
The resolution grants the City Manager authority to manage the sale process in accordance with the adopted resolution; the council did not list individual items in the meeting minutes.
