Chief Kevin Lynch presented the Bonduel Fire Department’s operational plan for the July 4 parade to the commission on June 18, describing steps intended to keep the event safe while maintaining emergency response coverage.
Lynch said the department’s main trucks will remain at the station fully staffed and that four personnel wearing safety vests and radios will be stationed along the parade route. Visiting or outside fire departments that participate in the parade will be briefed on designated exit points so they can leave quickly if they are needed for emergency calls. The Village Municipal Operations Department has arranged temporary one-way streets and no-parking zones, and the plan calls for using the school parking lot for parade staging.
The presentation was informational; the commission did not take formal action on the parade plan at the meeting. The commission noted the plan and continues routine event oversight ahead of the July 4 parade.
