Bonduel committee: playground donations, CMAR grade A, updated equipment rates and liquor-renewal recommendations

The Village of Bonduel Committee of the Whole on May 27 reviewed municipal reports and recommended several administrative actions.
Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Maroszek reported that the Village has received $26,200 in donations for the Cedar Park playground poured-in-place safety surface. Municipal operations staff said the surface is being installed, requires a curing period, and is expected to be ready for use next week. The Village also announced that two F-35 fighter jets will conduct a flyover July 4 at the start of the parade.
The Committee reviewed the 2025 Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) on the sewer collection system; the report indicated system performance remains strong and awarded an overall grade of A. The Committee recommended the Board approve the 2025 CMAR by resolution.
Committee members also reviewed and recommended Board approval of additions to the Village equipment rental rate schedule after discovering missing entries; the added rates are based on the Wisconsin equipment rental rate schedule. On liquor licenses, the Committee reviewed the list of 2026–2027 applications and recommended approval for those that had been submitted; Maroszek said four businesses had not yet submitted applications despite letters mailed April 1 with a May 1 deadline and that she had contacted the outstanding businesses ahead of the June Board meeting.
President Russ Gehm reminded the Committee that Bonduel Municipal Code Sec. 2-83 on ethical standards is reviewed annually; the Committee had no questions during the review. Kay Zuleger moved and Brenda Staszak seconded the motions to recommend approval where appropriate; motions carried unanimously throughout the meeting. The Committee adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
