Representatives of the Bonduel Bat and Ball Club asked the Village of Bonduel Village Board on June 10, 2026, to permit installation of lighting on the upper field at Cedar Park. Club members Matt Hesse and Lucas Wickersheim presented the proposal and said the club plans to raise an estimated $75,000 through fundraising to cover installation costs.
Trustee Kay Zuleger moved to approve installation of the new lights on municipal property; Trustee Michelle Streetman seconded the motion. The board approved the installation unanimously. Under the agreement discussed at the meeting, ownership and responsibility for the lighting system will transfer to the village upon installation, and the village will be responsible for ongoing electricity, insurance and maintenance costs.
The club’s plan to fundraise was presented as the means to cover installation. The board’s approval at the June 10 meeting authorized the club to proceed with plans to install the lighting subject to usual permits and any necessary municipal coordination. No vote tally by individual member names was recorded beyond the meeting’s statement that the motion carried unanimously.
