Bonduel committee recommends switching internet to TDS and VoIP to Corporate Network Solutions after vendor failures

The Village of Bonduel Committee of the Whole on May 27 recommended the Village Board approve moving the Village’s internet service to TDS and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service to Corporate Network Solutions.
Jesse Rankin, Director of Municipal Operations, told the Committee that the Village currently uses TDS for telephone services and Bertram Wireless for internet. Rankin reported that Bertram, which provided internet service at no cost, has failed to fulfill other commitments in its agreement with the Village; staff have been working with the Village attorney to terminate the relationship when the lease expires in August.
Based on pricing and service proposals Rankin presented, Kay Zuleger moved and Michelle Streetman seconded a recommendation to proceed with TDS for internet and Corporate Network Solutions for VoIP. The motion carried unanimously.
The Committee’s recommendation will go to the full Village Board for final approval and any contract or budgetary action required to implement the provider changes.
