County accepts $300,000 offer from SCISWA for 6.5-acre Tracy parcel

Chair Kisha Jahner opened a public hearing at 9:47 a.m. on a proposed disposition of Marion County property at 2073 Pierce Dr., Tracy. The county received an offer from the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Authority to purchase the roughly 6.5-acre parcel for $300,000 to be conveyed by warranty deed. There was no public comment during the hearing.
Supervisor Jim Mueller moved and Jahner seconded approval of Resolution 2026-83, which accepts the buyer’s offer and authorizes the county to convey the property by warranty deed. The motion carried with Jahner and Mueller voting aye; Supervisor Steve McCombs was absent. The recorded legal description was included in the meeting materials and the recommended purchase agreement had been reviewed by the board.
