Interborough School Board approves $13.1 million in disbursements, ratifies three‑year contract with IEPA

On labor, the board approved a roll-call motion to ratify a collective bargaining agreement between the Anabura School District and the Interborough Education Personnel Association, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029. The motion passed 7-0. Following that vote, the chair offered thanks to IEPA leadership: "I would just like to thank the leadership of the IEPA, for working with the school district," the chair said, calling the contract fair while also noting the district’s aim to remain fiscally responsible.
The board also appointed Matthew Cleaver to serve as secretary pro tem for this meeting only under "section 4-405 of the Pennsylvania school code." That appointment was approved by voice vote, 7-0.
In his solicitor’s remarks, Mister Pupio said he had no specific report but noted he will attend a statewide school law seminar and will provide updates. He observed that Delaware County has been experiencing Internet disruptions similar to those Interborough faced and commented on insurance carriers and anti-hacking practices handling such incidents.
No members of the public registered comments during the public-comment period. The meeting closed with announcements about upcoming virtual meetings (a work session scheduled for Aug. 17, 2026, at 7 p.m.; the next public meeting on Aug. 19, 2026, at 7 p.m.; and a capital improvement committee meeting on Aug. 25, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.) and an adjournment.
