Administrators told the Perrydale SD 21 board that the district’s IT coordinator contract will increase the annual amount by $1,100 to $25,300 for the coming year, with additional step increases over subsequent years. The administrator noted the district does not provide insurance for the contractor and that the IT coordinator also works at a nearby district under a shared arrangement.
"This coming year, '26, 25,300," an administrator said, describing the first-year contract amount that the board subsequently approved by voice vote.
The board also discussed and approved a preschool-teacher contract for 2026–27 that the administrator said is for a teacher paid at roughly $27 per hour and "not to exceed 600 hours" in the year; the board clarified there is a process for covering meetings and special-education transitions outside scheduled preschool hours.
Administrators reported personnel changes: hires including Teresa Hernandez, Rachel Baer and Elizabeth Weber, and resignations including long-time coach Brian Domes and Kylie (last name not specified). The board discussed co-oping with Amity for the 2026 football season and posted coaching openings for middle- and high-school positions.
The board also reviewed the school calendar and set a special meeting Aug. 5 to discuss enrollment details. The approved personnel and contract items were enacted by voice vote recorded on the public transcript.
