Lisbon council adopts flood-plain amendment, directs staff to seek truck-air-brake signage

Lisbon, March 2, 2026 — The Lisbon City Council on Tuesday approved a slate of routine measures, unanimously adopted an amendment to the city’s flood-plain ordinance and directed staff to pursue state highway signage related to truck air-brake regulations.
Mayor Tim Meyer called the meeting to order. Council Member Julie Cole moved to approve the Feb. 2 minutes, a motion seconded by Sandy Hoff and recorded as approved. The council then approved the police and public works reports and accepted the auditor/economic development report after a motion from Rob Waletzko and a second from Cole.
Council Member Ben Gemar moved, seconded by Hoff, that staff member Jeff Leadbetter locate any City ordinance concerning air brakes on truck traffic and write to the state requesting signage on Highways 27 and 32; the motion passed unanimously. Leadbetter also told the council that a letter had been submitted to the attorney general’s office concerning County Road 6.
