The Lisbon City Council approved multiple local funding recommendations and 2026 beer and liquor licenses at its Nov. 3 meeting.
The council approved STAR’s recommendation of $30,000 to Lisbon Civic & Commerce for holiday promotion. The LV&EB recommendations approved included: $3,130 to Scenic Sign Corp for vinyl on the Main Street digital sign; $800 to individuals/groups to hang flags; $790.36 to Liq’r Pigz for annual ribfest; $3,500 to Ransom County Fair Board for advertising; $10,000 to Lisbon Civic & Commerce for holiday promotion; $3,500 to Lisbon Civic & Commerce for advertising; and $2,296 for event costs. Motions to approve these allocations carried unanimously.
Council also approved 2026 beer/liquor applications for Lisbon Bissell Golf Club, Casey’s, Gordy’s Grill & Fill and the Cattleman’s Club. These license approvals were recorded on the consent portion of the agenda.
