Middletown council approves treasurer’s report in 5-0 roll call, schedules Nov. 4 work session

Vice Mayor Jeffrey Pennington moved to approve the Town Treasurer’s Report during the Oct. 15, 2024 Middletown Town Council meeting; Councilor Diane Newman seconded the motion. Mayor Charles Harbaugh IV called for a roll call vote. Councilors Carolyn Aliff, Diane Newman, Stephanie Mitchell, Shayla Rickard and Jeffrey Pennington voted yes and the motion carried 5-0.
The council also adopted the meeting agenda and approved the public hearing and Town Council minutes from Sept. 9, 2024 earlier in the session by unanimous consent after motions from Councilor Diane Newman and Councilor Carolyn Aliff, respectively.
Chief of Police Gary Benedict Jr. informed the council that Trick-or-Treat hours for Middletown are set for Oct. 31, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; the notice was entered for the public record. Mayor Charles Harbaugh IV announced a Town Work Session scheduled for Nov. 4, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and shared a thank-you letter from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation with those present.
There were no substantive committee items brought forward by the Personnel, Public Works, Facilities, Ordinance, Planning and Zoning, or Special Committees at this meeting. The mayor adjourned the meeting at 7:06 p.m.
