"Twice this year, the road of Linden Road, my front yard, backyard, my garage, and the breezeway that connects my house, the garage is under 1 to 3 feet of water," the resident told the board, adding the seller did not disclose the issue when he bought the house. He said the flooding has prevented him from using his property and asked for a status update and faster action.
Mayor Holofield told the resident to meet with the village manager after the meeting and provide the property address so staff can supply specific information about planned work. Planning and public‑works staff previously presented on neighborhood drainage needs in April; officials said the village has addressed some nearby areas but will follow up on the resident's specific block.
The board did not vote on an immediate remedy during the meeting; village staff said they would review the resident’s address and provide targeted follow‑up.
