The clerk also noted candidate declaration for the regular election opens August 1 and runs through August 15, meaning the vacancy timing overlaps with the election calendar.
Council approved Action Memorandum 25‑11 by voice vote, 5–0. Mayor and councilors encouraged public interest and participation in local government and noted multiple seats will be open during the election season.
