Board approves contracts, FEMA participation and appointments in unanimous votes

The Village of North Bay Board of Trustees on June 15 approved a slate of routine contracts and resolutions and filled a vacancy on the Board of Appeals.
The board unanimously approved a two-year leaf-collection agreement with Four Season Lawncare of Racine for the 2026–2027 season. "We will proceed with the contract as presented," Trustee Paul Schroeder said when moving the item; Constable Rocco Castellano seconded and the motion carried without opposition.
Members also voted to accept a three-year Caledonia Fire & EMS contract, a proposal the board received June 12. The motion to accept the contract was made by Trustee Schroeder and seconded by Constable Castellano; the measure passed unanimously.
The board passed Resolution 2026-2 to finalize Village participation in FEMA programs. Constable Castellano moved for passage and Trustee Schroeder seconded; the resolution carried unanimously.
A separate procedural resolution, Resolution 2026-1, granted Trustee Rick Cermak authority to file the 2026 CMAR report (a compilation of 2025 data). That motion was made by Constable Castellano, seconded by Trustee Schroeder, and approved unanimously.
Other accounting actions included acceptance of financial reports dated April 30, 2026, and approval of accounts payable totals: a May 2026 amended total of $28,553.67 and a June 2026 amended preliminary total of $18,454.75. Both items were approved by unanimous vote.
The board also filled a vacancy on the Board of Appeals, appointing Scott Hansing to a three-year term (2026–2029) following the death of Rick Hennig. Constable Castellano moved to appoint Hansing and Trustee Schroeder seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting closed at 9:00 PM. Several items were forwarded for administrative follow-up, including scheduling and documentation steps tied to permits and inspections.
