Resolution No. 29‑2024 authorizes application for funds to support a Salem Township multi‑area waterline extension project. Supervisor Kerry Jobe said the township has received multiple resident requests for waterline extensions and identified five potential locations (Kennan, Tucker, Hornock, Kaufman, Tower & Apple Lane). He noted individual project estimates range from about $346,000 to $731,000 and said the township will finalize a single project to submit based on merits and resident input; he asked residents to email the township with water‑service concerns.
Resolution No. 30‑2024 authorizes application for Commonwealth funding for township equipment purchases. Both resolutions were approved unanimously.
Jobe cautioned that funding is competitive and the township may not receive awards; the board must later select a specific project for submission and satisfy any application requirements. The board did not set a preferred project at the meeting; residents will be asked to provide additional information to help prioritize the proposed extension locations.
