The board also approved the Mitchell Field dinghy‑rack use policy, which mirrors procedures used at Pottstown docks and was accompanied by an application form that includes liability language. One application had already been received and seven spots remained open.
For infrastructure, staff recommended sole sourcing the dry‑hydrant installation to Ari Weber, a contractor that has installed and maintained the town’s dry hydrants. The quoted cost is $17,700 with a required $1,200 deposit at contract signing; the board authorized contracting and deposit.
On regional services, staff presented a multi‑year Kemba County Communications contract for fire/rescue CAD access and regional communications. The contract reflects an increase in regional participation charges (noted in the contract as up to roughly 6 percent) and includes a separate $2,000 software charge; the board approved a two‑year contract with renewal terms.
Earlier in the meeting Parks staff requested a waiver of town fees for this year’s lobster boat races at Mitchell Field (June 26). The board approved the waiver unanimously.
