The Eunice Board of Aldermen and Alderwomen on Sept. 9 concurred with Mayor Scott A. Fontenot’s nomination of Broch Leger to the Eunice Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board, replacing Mingo Harrison, who resigned because of conflicts of interest.
The board also approved liquor-license applications recommended by the police chief for Mohamed Ismail, doing business as Smoke at 1761 W. Laurel Ave., and for Michael Leon Folse, doing business as Tiger’s Sports Lounge at 1751 W. Laurel Ave. Both approvals were recorded as carried after concurrence with the police chief’s recommendations.
Separately, the board declared multiple items from previously surplused patrol units to be surplus with no value, listing interior vehicle partitions and miscellaneous damaged equipment; it also declared five 6' x 3' office tables, 17 office chairs and one rear seat for a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe as surplus because they are no longer in inventory.
The board’s minutes record motions and that the motions carried; roll-call tallies or objections were not included for these consent items in the minutes.
