Lannon board approves promotion, contractor payments and routine business

The Village of Lannon Board on March 9 approved a slate of routine items, including the meeting minutes and multiple motions authorizing payments and certifications.
Trustees Grennier and Lake moved and the board unanimously approved the March 9 meeting minutes. Trustees Lake and Grennier then moved to approve operator's licenses for Samantha Heath, Jasmine Murphy, Madison Haug, Hailey Gscheidmeier and Heather Schuh after background checks were completed by the Police Chief; the motion passed unanimously.
The board approved the promotion of Officer Schweitzer to sergeant on the recommendation of Chief Schlei and the Personnel and Finance Committee. The motion to promote carried unanimously; Sgt. Schweitzer was sworn in by the village clerk and pinned with his sergeant badge by his girlfriend, Erin.
Trustees approved Pay Application 4 to J. Miller Electric for $65,486.34 and Pay Application 5 for $113,012.96, both as submitted and approved by Strand. Combined, the two payments total $178,499.30. Grennier and Lake moved to pay the bills as presented later in the meeting; that motion also carried unanimously.
Trustees Lake and Moore moved to authorize President Yates to sign a conflict waiver from Von Briesen & Roper after Lemke Stone provided consent related to a Conditional Use permit; the motion carried unanimously.
President Yates noted the board will consider an appointment to the Plan Commission next month. The meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
