Council member Carey reported that the library experienced higher attendance despite offering fewer programs in the last quarter, praised outreach such as interpretive signage on pollination and the library's book‑walk signs at Parker Park, and noted ongoing book‑sale and bake‑sale fundraising events.
In council comments, Council member Wagner summarized a July 2 Planning & Zoning Commission discussion about a conditional‑use permit for a proposed recreational lodge on Rauld Avenue. Commissioners debated whether to require an on‑site fish‑cleaning station and deferred action until developers and owners provide more information; the commission did not impose a requirement at this time.
