Luna Pier council adopts FY 2026–27 budget and approves related contracts

The Luna Pier City Council on June 25 unanimously adopted Resolution No. 982 to approve the city’s fiscal year 2026–27 budget.
Councilmember Joy Perry moved to adopt the budget, and Diana Szkatulski seconded the motion; the council approved the resolution on a roll call vote with all members voting in favor. During the same meeting the council also approved budget amendments and authorized a contract with Digital Perspective, each by unanimous roll call votes.
The budget adoption formalizes the city’s revenue and expense estimates for 2026–27 and follows a public hearing held earlier in the evening during which budget materials were reviewed. Resident Connie Cole presented a Budget Handout during the public hearing explaining fund balances, revenues and recommended next steps for the coming fiscal year.
Councilmember Amanda Neiding moved, supported by Duy Hoang, to approve the budget amendments; that motion passed on a roll call vote. Joy Perry moved, supported by Neiding, to approve the Digital Perspective contract as presented; that motion also carried with all council members voting in favor.
The council did not record any detailed line-item changes in the minutes beyond noting that amendments were approved as presented. The meeting minutes list the actions as approved and indicate staff will proceed with implementing the adopted budget and the digital services contract. The council adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
Next steps include staff implementation of the adopted budget and any administrative follow-up mandated by city procedures for the Digital Perspective contract.
