POLYTECH board accepts resignations and approves hires, including new workforce development coordinator

At its June 11 meeting the POLYTECH School District Board of Education accepted two resignations and approved several full- and part-time hires.
Dr. LaTonya Pierce presented personnel recommendations. The board accepted the resignations of Curtis Jackson, custodian (effective June 13, 2026), and Shannon Foskey, school psychologist (effective July 1, 2026). The motions to accept resignations was made by Deanna Rigby and seconded by Cynthia Brown and passed unanimously.
The board approved two certified hires: Dr. Kristy Vodvarka as Workforce Development Coordinator, effective July 1, 2026, and Stephanie Fay as Special Education Teacher, effective Aug. 18, 2026 (motion by Reginald Chandler, seconded by Deanna Rigby; unanimous vote). The board also approved part-time hires presented by administration, including Kian Keller and Ryan Zimmerman (B&G summer workers), Kelley Aiken (Adult Ed, PN instructor) and Steven Hodne (Adult Ed, PSAM instructor), with effective dates as listed in board materials. That motion was moved by Cynthia Brown, seconded by Sandy Walls and approved unanimously.
No public comment was offered on personnel items during the meeting. The board adjourned at 2:50 p.m.
