At the May 19, 2026 meeting, the Kingston Historical Commission recorded that Chair Craig Dalton intends to retire and that member Jim McKenna will resign effective after the June meeting.
Commissioners agreed the town should post a call for new members and that the commission will need to fill the chair and secretary positions. Craig Dalton told members he knows “a person or two” he can reach out to as potential candidates, according to the minutes.
The minutes also record that John Bartlett was listed as absent but would be responsible for ordering cleaning supplies discussed under FY26 expenses; the commission asked Craig Dalton to determine the exact amount left in the budget.
Next steps: the commission will request the town post vacancies and will address leadership appointments after the June meeting.
