Fountain City’s Park‑Rec/Cemetery Committee on Nov. 13 agreed to list two auditorium basketball hoops for sale at $150 apiece after determining the hoops were not official court size. The committee assigned Gil to remove the hoops and Michele, the deputy clerk, to list them on Facebook Marketplace.
On seasonal dock work, the committee noted a Nov. 13 email from Max Trane of Brennan Marine stating the company does not perform seasonal dock installation or removal but offered to help identify alternate contractors. The committee and city staff will contact other vendors to secure a contractor for dock installation and removal as needed.
Committee members also reviewed a $2,200 quote from Kevin Qualy of Zenith Aerial Imagery for multiseason drone footage intended to promote Fountain City and Buffalo County. The committee recorded that a deposit has been issued and staff will finalize the production schedule for the upcoming filming season.
The actions are procedural; no formal council contract award or ordinance changes were made during the meeting.
