The Village of Montgomery approved the purchase of five replacement squad vehicles as part of its annual vehicle-equipment program.
Chief Phil Smith said the request covers five cars to be purchased from Sutton Ford under the state bid. He described the total as "about 53 and some change or total of $2,266,845" in the presentation and answered trustees' questions about quantities and contract sourcing. Trustees moved and seconded approval; the board approved the purchase by a 5–0 vote.
Chief Smith noted this would be his last official action as chief and thanked the board; trustees thanked Smith in turn as the meeting moved on to other business.
