Fernandez said the plan averages about three miles per district for FY2027 and includes several alley improvements near downtown. Commissioners discussed alley scope and estimated alley costs; Fernandez gave a rough cost estimate for an alley segment of $70,000–$90,000.
Commissioners praised the city’s in-house paving crew and the overall increase in paving compared with recent years. The commission voted to approve the list as revised and directed staff to prepare construction plans, bid documents and specifications to pursue procurement with bids anticipated in September.
