Chair Gary Wolf opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m. Plan Commission member Steve Worzella moved to approve the May 4, 2026 Plan Commission minutes; Plan Commission member Sherri Galle‑Teske seconded and the motion carried.
The Public Works Committee was not called to order because it lacked a quorum and therefore took no action on Public Works Committee agenda items.
During a public hearing, Jasmine Barclift read the notice for Roberts Irrigation’s Conditional Use Permit request for an outdoor display at 1500 Post Road. Staff member Karmen Anderson outlined the request and noted it requires a Conditional Use Permit under Village ordinance. Plan Commission member Steve Worzella moved to close the public hearing; Plan Commission member Sherri Galle‑Teske seconded and the motion carried. During reconvened consideration, Ms. Galle‑Teske asked whether the proposed sign would be lit or use digital scrolling; a Roberts Irrigation representative answered no. Ms. Galle‑Teske then moved, with a second from Jackie Denny, to recommend approval of the Conditional Use Permit to the Village Board; the motion carried.
Community Development Manager Adam DeKleyn summarized a site plan review for Mullins Whey INC at 2541 Foremost Road and said staff recommended approval with conditions. Ms. Galle‑Teske moved to approve the Mullins Whey INC site plan; Mr. Worzella seconded and the motion passed.
Mr. DeKleyn and staff member Steve Kunst reviewed the Village of Plover Public Safety Facilities Project site plan at 2400 Post Road, noting a proposed 104‑stall public parking lot, sidewalks along School Drive and Wisconsin Avenue, and improved lighting for the rear parking area. Plan Commission member Chris Shulfer moved to approve the site plan; Ms. Galle‑Teske seconded and the motion passed.
Public Works Manager Scott Klemm reported the department’s heavy workload: crews have picked up numerous brush loads since the winter ice storm, street reconstruction is under way, Hoover Avenue will need crack filling this year after a hard winter, and a driveway at the Dan R. Mahoney Conservancy is expected to be installed in June.
In community development reports, Mr. DeKleyn said the Olive Garden at its site had closed and construction was expected to begin that week. He also said a lawsuit filed by the Wisconsin Realtors Association had been dropped after the Village amended its Short‑Term Rental Ordinance.
Plan Commission member Steve Worzella moved to adjourn at 6:19 p.m.; Ms. Galle‑Teske seconded and the motion carried.
