Board President Joey Bata presented the superintendent evaluation; Bata moved to approve the successful performance review and Dustin Theurer seconded. The minutes record the approval as carried unanimously.
In administrative reports, the superintendent and staff highlighted several operational items: implementation of razor tracking on school buses, an ongoing transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus with district staff meeting regularly with the transition team, a substitute and staff management system grant, and school calendar drafts to be released before the next board meeting. The minutes also note a Cass County Highway 10 public meeting scheduled for Nov. 18 from 6–8 p.m.
Principals reported on instructional and extracurricular matters: the high school distributed a virtual learning schedule and a career fair for juniors in Lisbon was scheduled; elementary staff completed a Cognia mid-cycle review and an after-school program has 16 students enrolled with Mrs. Preston. The career and technical center reported ongoing fundraisers and student work on job sites; a cabin remains for sale.
The board set its next regular meeting for Dec. 10, 2025.
