During its April 7 meeting the Aberdeen Board of Aldermen approved multiple purchase requisitions across city departments and passed a resolution granting a decade-long ad valorem tax exemption to West Lake Chemicals & Vinyl, LLC.
Purchase requisitions approved include payments to vendors such as Raborn Media ($3,941.50) for the Visitor Bureau, Parks & Parks Water Well Service ($10,783.00) for the Water Department, Sunbelt Solomon ($3,300.00) for the Electric Department, Thomasson Company ($5,160.00), Emerald Transformer ($3,567.00), and several others listed in the minutes. Several of these votes were recorded with Alderwoman Rhonda Moore, Aldermen James Ivory, Jeremy Belle and John Cain voting "Aye" while Alderman Nicholas Holliday was recorded as recused on those items.
