At its Jan. 12 meeting in the James A. Collins Municipal Building, the Mayodan Town Council recognized local resident Tyler Priddy for successfully earning his commercial driver’s license and issued advanced certificates to Lieutenant Landon Fellows, Sergeant Jonathon Bowman, and Officer Patrick Wilson.
The council then approved the consent agenda, which included approval of the Dec. 4 and Dec. 15, 2025 minutes, budget amendments, and an amended capital project ordinance titled "Town Hall Conversion and Police Department Expansion." Councilmember Letitia Goard moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilmember Doug Cardwell seconded. The motion carried unanimously with Councilmembers Melanie Barnes, Doug Cardwell, Letitia Goard, John Miller, and Buck Shelton voting aye.
Near the end of the meeting, Councilmember Doug Cardwell moved to adjourn; Councilmember Melanie Barnes seconded. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m. The minutes were attested by Town Clerk Sarah Hopper and Mayor E. Dwight Lake.
