The design reflects prior programming discussions and identified space needs, and it incorporates conceptual layouts previously reviewed with town staff. Dalton said the purpose of the presentation was to receive council feedback and identify any necessary adjustments to the plan. Councilmembers asked questions and provided comments about the layout and spaces; staff will use that feedback to refine the design.
The council had included an "Amended Capital Project Ordinance: Town Hall Conversion and Police Department Expansion" on the consent agenda, which the council approved as part of the meeting's consent items.
The presentation paused the meeting for a five-minute break at 7:11 p.m.; the meeting reconvened at 7:14 p.m. No formal vote on the design occurred at the session; further refinements and next steps will be managed by staff and the project team.
