The Raleigh County Commission approved several consent and routine items during its July 16 meeting.
Clerk presented a highway use permit (206‑009) for Cox Communications on Lakewood Drive; the commission approved the permit by voice vote after a motion from Commissioner McKinley and a second from the Chair. The board also approved a long‑anticipated notice to proceed for the Keith sanitary sewer benefit district improvements; commissioners signed paperwork to advance the project.
The board accepted the resignation of Jim Jackson and appointed Richard Soash to the University Park Improvement District board. Commissioners approved county employee action forms including separations for a volunteer firefighter and a county health‑department opioid‑prevention specialist. The minutes of the July 13 meeting were approved by voice vote.
These items were handled as part of the meeting’s consent agenda and were approved without further amendment. Commissioners were reminded to sign documents where required.
