Mercer council unanimously approves minutes, financial report and bills; auditor to contact overdue water accounts

At its Jan. 16 meeting the City of Mercer council approved several routine items. Mayor Lori Stute read the Dec. 18, 2024 minutes; Erika Lorenz moved to approve with changes and Randy Zinke seconded. Barb Stute, Gary Volochenko, Erika Lorenz and Randy Zinke all voted aye and the motion carried.
The council then read and approved the Jan. 13, 2025 minutes on a motion by Erika Lorenz seconded by Randy Zinke; the motion passed unanimously. Randy Zinke moved to approve the financial report, seconded by Barb Stute, and the council voted to approve. A motion by Gary Volochenko to approve the bills, seconded by Erika Lorenz, also passed with all members voting aye.
Auditor Tonya Wellington said she will send letters to water accounts 9, 51 and 74 that are 30 days past due. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn by Gary Volochenko, seconded by Barb Stute, which passed unanimously.
