Volunteer inlet‑decals work folded into DPW paving schedule, EAC member says

At the July 8 meeting the committee heard that most curb‑inlet marking work begun by volunteers has been finished, but material shortages and a water main break stalled the final inlets.
"We got most of it ... we wrapped up the 2023, 2024. So we're on the 2025," Nadia reported, adding the project stopped when volunteers ran out of sealant and other materials. She said some inlets on streets already repaved were not marked and that the EAC will coordinate with the Department of Public Works so inlets are updated after DPW completes road resurfacing.
Chair and members said integrating inlet‑decals into the town paving program should keep markings current and reduce the need for volunteers to chase older work. Members also noted a water‑main break and a widening project that temporarily restricted access for rain‑garden and inlet work.
The committee did not take formal action but agreed staff and DPW would incorporate the remaining inlet work into the paving schedule so the town can apply decals after road crews finish paving.
