Milnor council approves maintenance equipment purchases, shop laptop and Veteran’s Hall sidewalk cut

Milnor — At its March 9 meeting the Milnor City Council approved several maintenance purchases, a small technology purchase and a sidewalk modification intended to reduce icing in front of the Veteran’s Hall.
Ryan Smith reviewed the Maintenance Report and presented two quotes: a Bobcat debris blower attachment for $7,499 and a Hydra Bucket for $7,750 intended to break up ice. Council approved purchasing both items by unanimous motion (mover: Jodi Ost; second: Denise Ferderer).
Smith also presented a $995 quote for a new shop laptop; the council approved that purchase (motion: Curtis Anderson; second: Jodi Ost). Separately, Tracy Lien requested permission to cut the concrete in front of the Veteran’s Hall and install a grate to improve water drainage and reduce icing; John Buskohl was identified as the contractor who would perform the work. The council approved the sidewalk cut and grate (motion: Jodi Ost; second: Glen Koeppe), with the motion passing unanimously.
The purchases were included on the meeting's bills list and approved in the same session; the minutes record unanimous votes on the equipment, laptop and sidewalk requests.
