Harb said the polling place will be Plaistow Fish and Game and voting hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. He said three new voting machines will be used; each accepts one ballot at a time and produces PDFs of ballots for write‑in adjudication that are stored on a secured thumb drive so adjudication can be done on‑screen without direct handling of paper ballots. Harb said there will be three check‑in lines and three new ballot boxes; voters will be asked to show ID to ballot clerks and to mark ballots clearly. He estimated turnout at about 1,200 voters and said volunteers are needed for additional counting shifts.
Supervisors of the Checklist member Matthew Termini confirmed that voter registration closed Feb. 28 but same‑day registration is permitted at the polls; he estimated registered voters at between 5,300 and 5,500 and reminded residents that name and ID must match or supporting documents may be needed. Harb encouraged clear marking on ballots and explained that preliminary machine counts will be followed by hand counts and adjudication where necessary.
The board did not take further action at the March 2 meeting beyond discussion and encouragement to recruit volunteers for election day.
