Pulaski staff to pursue USEDA disaster‑relief grant for water treatment project; eligibility confirmed

She also said the town is awaiting word from the Virginia Department of Health on a loan application that could influence the scope of the EDA request, noting that some awards include principal forgiveness that could be applied toward the local match.
Council members expressed appreciation for the work and asked about the number of other applicants; staff noted the program is new and that, regionally, only a small number of localities had begun applications. Ainsley said staff will continue preparatory work while waiting for additional guidance and potential VDH loan outcomes.
No council vote was required; staff will return with application materials and timelines as they are developed.
