Alderman described a sustained social‑media push that increased reach and engagement, and she outlined ongoing work with Virginia Main Street—Pulaski advanced to Tier 2 of the Virginia Main Street cohort, a two‑year program providing board training, grant and planning support. Staff and board members described property inventory work and recommendations from Place in Maine including retail recruitment, entrepreneurship support and historic‑tax‑credit education.
Council members asked about the retail‑demand calculations used in the Place in Maine report; staff said the report draws on multiple sources such as credit‑card data and mobility apps and that the town can provide a written explanation. Alderman invited the council’s support for upcoming events including Harvest and Harmonies and a Christmas marketplace, and she said Pulaski on Maine will coordinate outreach to downtown businesses and the town for support.
