Funding options discussed included the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF), which the presentation notes has a maximum award of $500,000 with a 50% match requirement, as well as the Land and Water Conservation Fund and Rural Transformation grants. The consultants said the next steps are to receive comments from the N.C. Department of Transportation, revise plans accordingly and prepare detailed cost estimates for each phase.
