DPW Superintendent Bill Diamond updated council on ongoing public‑works projects including hydrant repairs on Hecker and tree trimming on Cass and Auburn. Council approved a $28,000 amendment to increase engineering grant lines to support Iron Belle Trail bridge replacement engineering and approved a FY26 parks budget amendment moving $2,500 from equipment to telephone lines.
During the communication from the public, resident Paul Koncz asked for earlier notification when DPW repairs will trigger boil‑water alerts. Judy Paladino asked when nets at Grant Park will be installed; Mayor Calandrino and Superintendent Diamond said they are following up with the contractor and noted the nets were donated last year by JARS Cannabis.
