The Milton Town Meeting on Aug. 12 adopted a FEMA hazardous-materials resolution to support Caswell County Emergency Services.
Mayor Angela Upchurch read the resolution aloud. Commissioner Danny Cash moved to adopt the resolution and Mayor Pro Tem. Robert (Bob) Palmer seconded; the board voted unanimously to approve it. A copy of the adopted resolution will be archived in Town Hall.
Board members did not expand the resolution’s provisions at the meeting; the action was recorded as part of new business and is intended to coordinate Milton with county emergency-response planning for hazardous materials incidents. Staff were directed to archive the resolution and coordinate with county emergency services as needed.
