Park Committee approves RFP for paved trail to be designated a 'lateral playground' with exercise stations

The committee also discussed using community-corrections crews or town crews for some installation tasks and noted examples at nearby churches and towns.
A motion to put the pavement portion of the trail out to bid was made by a committee member (S5) and seconded by the Chair (S2). The motion passed on a voice vote of "Aye." The committee characterized the RFP scope as focused on pavement (the committee said final decisions about station details and surfacing would follow).
The committee scheduled a maintenance check at the park for Monday the 16th at 6:00 p.m. to walk the site and identify needs such as mulch or paint and to plan installation logistics.
