Lyme panel approves mounting new scoreboard on snack shack to avoid extra permitting

Commissioner Curtis Shepard reported he had spoken with Kerri and Andrew Gandin and Rowen Goss about potential sites for the scoreboard and said the originally proposed location would have required significant site work. After reviewing alternatives, members concluded that mounting the scoreboard under the snack shack rafters offered better sightlines to attendees and fewer installation costs and approvals.
Michael Hinsley moved to install the scoreboard on the snack shack; Luke Prince seconded the motion, which the minutes record as passing unanimously. Curtis Shepard will contact Kerri and Andrew Gandin, identified in the minutes as baseball commissioners, to review the revised placement and any installation details.
The commission’s placement decision is intended to keep installation costs and permitting minimal while making the scoreboard visible to the community.
