Orford Selectboard appoints Kelley Monahan to ZBA, finds Planning Board complaint unfounded

The Orford Selectboard on April 22 moved to appoint Kelley Monahan as the Planning Board member to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for Flood Plains. The motion, made by Kevin Follensbee and seconded by Larry Taylor, passed 3–0.
The board also reviewed a complaint filed against the Planning Board. Following advice from Town Counsel, the Selectboard concluded the complaint was unfounded and authorized notifying the filer.
Administrative housekeeping included completion of timber tax rate worksheets for property owners William Nichols and Rendall Tullar and signing a clean copy of the Community Field mowing contract. Correspondence noted that the Supervisors of the Check List appointed Mark Tecca as Town Moderator (awaiting swearing‑in by the Town Clerk), receipt of a letter from Chase Kling about an assessor review for a River Road property, and an NH Electric Coop notice listing locations in Orford where herbicides will be selectively applied in power‑line right‑of‑way corridors; the utility’s report is available at the Town Office for public review.
The board voted to enter nonpublic session at 7:00 p.m. under RSA 91‑A:3 II(a) for personnel matters, took a roll call vote, resumed the regular meeting at 7:20 p.m., and then voted to seal the nonpublic minutes. The meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
