At the March 23 meeting, Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb gave several operational updates and the board heard a public-works report from the Fire/Road Commissioner.
Sara J. Liscomb said the Town Office will be closed March 24 for mandatory CVR2 training, and she reported an additional office closure scheduled for May 8 due to unforeseen circumstances. Liscomb said nomination papers remain available as the town seeks volunteers to serve on the Planning Board.
A proposal to adopt a 'Text My Gov' text-notification service was discussed but tabled; the board requested more information before taking action at a future meeting.
The Fire/Road Commissioner reported that the town dock has been repaired and new concrete has been poured; paving will occur when paving plants open in late spring. The commissioner said sweepers have been contacted to perform road sweeping in early May so striping can be completed.
