Jemez Springs P&Z approves mobile-home permit across from Mooney Blvd, postpones Hwy 4 building permit; schedules meetings

The Village of Jemez Springs Planning & Zoning Commission approved a mobile-home installation permit on June 26 for Parcel 1-011-104-327-355 (across from 11 Mooney Blvd), an application submitted by Danyelle Martinez.
The commission postponed a decision on a building-permit application for 16677 Hwy 4 (applicant Otis Negale; owner Susan Pate). Commissioners requested additional information about the property’s percent open space before acting on the permit.
Chair Betsy Daub reported the commission is still seeking funding for renovations to the Mooney Bridges and noted Dark Sky lighting fixtures have been installed in the village. The commission also recorded outreach to residents with livestock and chickens who are in noncompliance.
The commission rescheduled its regular July meeting to July 22, 2025, and scheduled a special Code Review meeting for 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2025. Talia Michelle will represent the commission at the Village Trustees meeting on July 15.
